In 2023, the University of Saskatchewan launched the Soil and AGro Ecosystem (SAGE) Project and enlisted Encore Graphics to create a logo that encapsulates the project’s vision and mission. The SAGE logo features a bison head, shaped by layers of soil and plants, symbolizing the project’s focus on soil, agriculture, and ecosystem balance. With green, brown, and gold representing the core layers of the project—soil, agriculture, and the land’s ecosystem—the design also includes a 3-leaf embellishment in the bison’s ears, reflecting agriculture, farming, and growth. Curved lines evoke prairie farming landscapes, showcasing the connection between crops and nature's organic forms.
