Designed by Gabrielle Giroux, The Doldrums visually captures the emotional landscape of Ellen Braun’s album - a story of stagnation, effort, and eventual acceptance. Set against a pink and orange sunrise gradient, Gabrielle’s charcoal-style illustrations depict two versions of Ellen: one lying still among familiar mountains she’s climbed, and another standing tall, hopeful, and gazing toward the horizon. Subtle constellations nod to Ellen’s astrological sign, while the overall design balances somber reflection with a sense of renewal. The artwork was created for both digipack and vinyl formats.
