The Fireweed Project is an Indigenous-led research initiative based at the University of Victoria dedicated to advancing reproductive justice for Indigenous women, Two-Spirit, and LGBTQIA+ people across Canada. Building on existing community knowledge and strengths, the project works to advance understanding of and remove barriers to accessing abortion services.
Encore Graphics partnered with The Fireweed Project to design and illustrate their community report, creating a publication that reflects the project's values through thoughtful visual storytelling. Featuring bold, vibrant colours and custom illustrations, the report highlights the team's research while celebrating Indigenous peoples, traditional medicines, and Indigenous knowledge related to reproductive health. The result is a visually engaging resource that honours community voices and makes complex research accessible and meaningful.
